What setting the service up inside a practice actually involves: your portal, your client list, the questions your clients answer, and how an introduction runs from first call to advice implemented.

  • The five steps, and who in the firm runs each one

What it looks like

The same five steps your partnership director works through with your firm.

What setting it up actually involves

Most firms we speak to expect a new service line: staff to train, software to buy, compliance to carry. That is not what this is. Your firm makes introductions and stays the client’s accountant. Equity & General hold the FCA authorisation and give the regulated advice.

The work in the first month is practical. A partnership director sets your firm up with its own portal. You export your client list from Xero, IRIS, CCH, Karbon, TaxCalc, BrightManager or QuickBooks and import it. The portal reads that list against the public record and flags the clients worth looking at, and your team takes an hour of training on what to say and where the line sits.

From there it is six questions to a client, a score that comes back on to their record, and an introduction raised in your firm’s name and tracked to the day the advice is in place. The guide walks through each step, who in the firm does it, and what the first thirty days look like.
